|X-GEN Manual, Section 5||XLOG (ascii logfile)||File Formats|
XLOG is an ascii file containing log-file output from almost all X-GEN applications. Each X-GEN functionality (with a few exceptions) writes its diagnostics to this file, creating it if necessary and appending to an existing file otherwise. Generally a form-feed begins a new application's contribution to this file. Usually there is a standardized header to the XLOG contribution from any particular application, in which the X-GEN version number, the input and output file names, and an articulation of the run-time parameters are provided.
